Community-Managed Microfinance Scheme

SCPI rolled-out its highly innovative microfinance model known as Community-managed microfinance scheme (CMS) in the remote villages of Northern Samar particularly in the municipalities of Catarman, Lope de Vega, Bobon, Mondragon, and San Roque. Under the model, CMS Groups are organized and trained on how they operate their own microfinance program. It builds assets of the poor mainly through savings and other CMS risk-managing financial services.
